Loaded Cheesy Hashbrowns

This loaded cheesy hashbrown recipe is a flavorful twist on the classic cheesy hashbrown casserole recipe. Seasoned with our southwest dip and dressing mix and chopped bacon this cheesy potato hashbrown recipe is easy and delicious. It will become a new favorite to share with others.

There are so many different types of side dishes to choose from such as vegetable-based ones or potato-based ones. Cheesy hashbrowns are a classic side dish recipe that is often enjoyed and get-togethers or during the holidays with family and friends. They can be called cheesy potatoes, funeral potatoes, and other names. This recipe usually involved shredded hashbrowns, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup mixed together and placed in a baking dish then topped with cornflakes. This potato-based side dish is a fun classic that is filling and highly enjoyable. 

Our loaded cheesy hashbrown recipe is a fun new twist on the classic cheesy hashbrown recipe. We add in our southwest dip mix, bacon, and green onion to add a fun new flavor to this dish. This fun side dish recipe will easily become a favorite recipe that you can take to get-togethers or enjoy as a family.

Making the Loaded Cheesy Hashbrowns 

In a medium bowl combine 1 package of shredded or frozen hash browns (If you want a more potato taste you can add another cup and half. , 10 oz can cream of chicken soup,  1 cup Sour Cream, 1 cup cooked and chopped bacon, 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (if you want more cheese you can add about a cup more), and ½ cup chopped onion, and 2 ½ tablespoons Chugwater Chili Dip and Dressing Mix. Mix together with a spatula or spoon until well combined.

Other add-ins that you can add in are diced jalapenos, diced tomatoes, or even some shredded chicken to create a complete meal. 

Baking the Cheesy Hashbrowns 

Add the cheesy hashbrowns to a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. This prevents it from sticking.

If you want a topping mix together 1 ½ cup crushed cornflakes and 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle on top of the cheesy hashbrowns.

Bake covered at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Or until the middle is cooked through. If you want the top to get crunchy uncover for the last 10 minutes of baking. 

How to Serve Loaded Cheesy Hashbrowns 

Serve this dish warm. These loaded cheesy hashbrowns can be served with your favorite main dish, as a side dish to share at get-togethers, and anytime you want a delicious and cheesy potato dish to enjoy. You can even make this a complete meal by adding shredded chicken, turkey, or ham with the bacon before you bake it.
