Baked Feta Tomato Pasta

This baked feta tomato pasta is an easy and flavorful weeknight meal. The garlic and onion in our dip and dressing seasoning adds a wonderful southwest flavor to this pasta dish. Add in smoked sausage or shredded chicken and you have a complete meal. This will become a new family favorite recipe in your kitchen.

Pasta dishes are super fun to make. They can be complete meals in themselves or served as side dishes in the form of salads or mac and cheese. Plus there are a ton of combinations of sauces, veggies, and meats you can use to create your own fun pasta creations. Some pastas can be more complicated or some can be simple to make. You can stay with classic recipes like fettuccine alfredo and spaghetti or get more adventurous with Cajun chicken pasta or vodka a la penne. They are an easy way to feed many and are great for meal prepping or a quick meal in a pinch. 

Recently there have been some online pasta recipes that have become viral with how easy and tasty they are to make. One of them is the baked feta tomato pasta recipe that has become a favorite on TikTok. We put our own fun twist on this recipe by seasoning it with our southwest dip and dressing mix and adding in smoked sausage or shredded chicken to create a full meal. This pasta recipe is quick, easy, and contains only a few ingredients to make. Plus it is really tasty.

Making the Pasta Sauce 

In a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray place a brick of feta cheese in the middle, add 3 cups of cherry or grape tomatoes around the feta along with ¼ onion, 2 teaspoons of oregano, 2 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Dip & Dressing Mix, and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until the tomatoes start to burst.

Once it is cooked mix the cheese with the feta in the same baking dish until it is well combined and creates a sauce.

Combining the Pasta and Sauce 

Now you can add in about 8 ounces of cooked penne or bowtie pasta noodles into the sauce. You can even use chickpea or protein pasta noodles if you want. Stir until well combined.

Adding in Some Protein 

It is your choice if you want to add in some protein. You can add in sliced smoked sausage, shrimp, or shredded chicken to create a full meal experience. 

How to Serve Baked Feta Tomato Pasta 

This is a fun meal that is easy to serve. You can serve it straight out of the baking dish plus it takes less than an hour and only requires a handful of ingredients. Add a side salad or some fruit to create a fuller meal. You can even serve it with your favorite garlic toast or bread. It is a flavorful and delicious pasta dish that is great as a weeknight meal. You can even use it to meal prep for the week. This baked feta and tomato pasta dish will become a new favorite recipe in your cookbook.
