Cheesy Green Chile Sausage Balls

This cheesy green chile sausage ball recipe is a quick and easy recipe to serve at your next party or as a side dish to your favorite chili or soup. Our green chili seasoning is added to sausage, shredded cheese, Bisquick™, and diced green chilies to create an explosion of green chile flavor for your taste buds.

Our cheesy green chile sausage ball recipe is a fun flavor-packed recipe. Our green chili seasoning combined with sausage, cheese, and Bisquick™ make a fun snack, appetizer, or side dish that you will enjoy every bite of.  Plus if you want to you can make these sausage balls ahead of time, freeze them, and serve them when you need to. This is an easy recipe that must be added to your recipe list to bring out whenever you want to share a great new pork recipe.

How to Make the Cheesy Green Chile Sausage Ball Dough 

In a large mixing bowl combine 1 pound sausage, 4 ounces green chilies, 1 ½ cups Bisquick™, 2 cups shredded Monterey cheese, and 2 rounded tablespoons Chugwater Chili Green Chili Seasoning

Mix until ingredients become a dough. You can do this by mixing with a spatula, your hands, or an electric mixer with a dough attachment. 

Make sure all ingredients are blended well. 

Optional: If you want a cheesier sausage ball you can add 8 ounces of softened cream cheese to the recipe.

Making the Sausage Balls 

Take the sausage dough and roll it into about 1-inch-sized balls. You can make these sausage balls in whatever size you wish. If they are larger they will take longer to cook. 

Place on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray or lined with parchment or foil.  This is nice to help with clean-up.

Baking the Cheesy Green Chile Sausage Balls 

Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the sausage balls become golden brown on top.

You had this recipe using the regular chili powder around Christmas time. What happened to the recipe? Everyone loved it and now I can’t find it.
