Cooking and Seasoning the Taco Meat
In a medium skillet, Brown 1 lb of ground beef with ¼ diced onion until the onion becomes translucent and the meat is no longer pink.
Add in 2 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Seasoning and stir until the meat is coated in the seasoning. If you want them spicier, you can always use the Chugwater Chili Hot Chili Seasoning.
Pull from the heat and set aside.
Preparing the Wonton Cups
In a muffin tin, add a layer of wonton wrappers to make a cup. I doubled up the wrappers and have one square rotated to make it look like a cup with pointed edges. Press into the tin to create a cup look.
Seasoning the Refried Beans
Mix ½ can of refried beans with 1 tablespoon of Chugwater Chili Seasoning until well blended. If you want it spicy, use the Chugwater Chili Hot Chili Seasoning.
Filling the Wonton Cups
In the wonton wrapper cup, add a spoonful of seasoned refried beans on the bottom, then the seasoned ground beef on top. Repeat until all the cups are filled.
Add a pinch of shredded cheddar or fiesta blend cheese on top. For some extra heat, you can also use pepper jack cheese.
Baking the Taco Cups
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until the wonton wrapper turns golden brown and crispy.
