Making the Chili Pineapple Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together 1 jar of Chugwater Chili Red Pepper Jelly, ½ cup pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Seasoning(if you want them spicier use our Chugwater Chili Hot Chili Seasoning), and 2 tablespoons of honey. Blend together. Note: This sauce tends to be thinner. If you want to thicken the sauce you can add a little cornstarch (a teaspoon or two) to the sauce but you want to make sure it is well blended.

Baking the Chicken Wings

Toss 1 pound of chicken wings with 1/2 of the chili pineapple sauce until the wings are coated. If you want the sauce to marinate on the wings you can let them sit in the sauce for 30 minutes to an hour. This helps the seasoning soak into the meat. It is up to you. If you are in a hurry you can start cooking right away and baste more sauce on the wings as they cook.
