Adding the Top Layer to the Tamale Pie

In a medium bowl, mix 1 and ½ cups of warm milk or water, 2 cups of cornmeal, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 eggs beaten, 1 teaspoon of Chugwater Chili Seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of salt. This creates the corn coating that is usually associated with tamales but as a top layer instead of shell around the tamale filling.
