Makes 12 8-inch round tortillas Ingredients 2 3/4 cups (13.7 ounces) all-purpose flour1 1/2 teaspoons salt6 tablespoons of vegetable shortening, cut into 6 pieces3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil1. Whisk flour and salt in a large bowl. Add shortening. 2. Use your fingers to rub in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. 3. Use a large rubber spatula to press in warm water. 4.
